2254 posts · Joined 2016. #13 · Jun 4, 2016. BTW no one is recommended to change their oil at 10k mile intervals, Ford simply says that you should change it AT LEAST every 10k or once a year minimum. Realistically, depending on your driving habits most people will need a change between 5k and 7500 miles.

Any competent mechanic should be able to do it. and scotman. Have you had a look on etis and downloaded the first serve sheet. I will have a look in the next 30 mins. Need to find a reg number. Note, in my service book it lists all models serv intervals. All Focus Mk3 and Mk3.5 (inc 1L ecoboost) are yearly /12.500 mile.

Car goes into limp mode, If you have a reliable and accurate torque wrench, the service manual specification for tightening the oil drain bolt on the EcoBoost 1.0L I3 engine is 21 lb-ft (or 28 Nm). Slide the used oil catch basin to just below the old oil filter. Spin off the old oil filter by twisting it in the counterclockwise direction.
