And yes, the 4WD WK2 has the front differential and drive shafts in the way of dropping the oil pan to change the oil pump. Removing the engine from the vehicle doesn't make sense, but I don't know the engine well enough to say for sure. I "thought" the change in pressure was just because higher rpm's need higher oil pressure.

When it came time for the first oil change the dealer called us back and said they could not get the plug out of the "plastic" oil pan. They put all the torque on the socket that they dared and it would not budge. To turn off the message temporarily, push and release the OK button. To reset the oil change indicator system (after performing the scheduled maintenance), refer to the following procedure. 1.
