Background A common strategy in the non-extraction treatment of Class II molar relationship is maxillary molar distalization, which could increase lower face height and cause clockwise mandibular rotation. The aim of this retrospective study was to analyse the effects on vertical dentoskeletal dimension of young adults treated with sequential distalization with orthodontic aligners. MethodsCeramic braces are the same size and shape as metal braces, except that they have tooth-colored or clear brackets that blend in to teeth. Some even use tooth-colored wires to be even less noticeable. Pros: Less noticeable than metal braces; move teeth much faster than clear plastic aligners (Invisalign)
The first reason is that Invisalign aligners need to fit tightly against your teeth in order for them to do their job properly - this creates nooks and crannies where bacteria, food particles, and plaque can build up over time. Unfortunately there’s no way around this, since it is an unavoidable part of using Invisalign.
Clear aligner braces like the Invisalign system are a really effective form of overjet correction for mild and moderate cases. Although almost invisible, these removable braces apply pressure to move teeth to a much better position, transforming a deep bite to a normal one. Patients usually switch to a new set of aligners every two weeks.
